Shift Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for Shift Engineer working on a 12 hour shift rota of days/nights with responsibility for maintaining and improving efficiency of plant and equipment through PPM to agreed standards and responding to equipment breakdown in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities of the Shift Engineer include:

• Completion of machine PPM’s to the agreed schedule and standard
• Response to breakdown repairs
• Document all work completed
• Book out all parts and consumables used
• Undertake training as required
• Participate in risk assessment role across the site

Skills and Experience for the Shift Engineer role include:

• Time served apprentice to NVQ L3 or above in an engineering discipline
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• PLC and pneumatic knowledge an advantage
• Three years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Health & Safety Awareness
• Computer literate
• Team player
