Who you’ll be working for:
A Top Tier, Main Civil Contractor, with offices in Ireland and the UK, currently working on various large projects across these areas, have a current permanent opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager, for a major Gas Pipeline project in Northern Ireland, based across Co Tyrone, Co Fermanagh and Co Derry.

Accommodation and Travel provided for this role, working on a rotational basis. Candidates based locally are also encouraged to apply.

What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will have a Third level qualification in a construction discipline - engineering, construction management, surveying or similar. 6+ years heavy civil engineering experience, preferably with a main contractor, with key quality experience, as a Site Engineer, Site Agent or Quality Manager.

Key areas will also include experience and knowledge of the structures of EN ISO 9001:2008/2015, training and experience in QMS/IMS Auditing, strong IT Skills, the ability to manage, maintain and update the company QMS/IMS, the ability to produce clear and concise documentation and demonstrate self-motivation and progressive attitude and approach

As this is a large gas pipeline project, experience of water / utilities / Gas pipe line experience would be advantageous.

What you’ll be doing:
We are looking to appoint a Quality Manager, for a major Gas Pipeline project in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and motivated with good communication skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The desired candidate should be able to demonstrate a pragmatic and proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to liaise with site management and client’s representatives as appropriate.

• The development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan.
• Development of Inspection & Test Plans in conjunction with Site Engineers.
• Ensuring implementation of I&T Plans and production of Quality Records.
• Ensuring all testing is carried out as required and examines the results for compliance.
• Calibration/control of site instruments.
• Management of testing lab.
• Manage, maintain and assist in update of the company IMS
• Preparation of reports for client and company management
• Audits of all activities – both first and second party
• Manage and Co-ordinate the production of handover documentation to the client.

What you’ll get in return:
Salary will be in the region of £35,000 – £45,000, which will be fully negotiable depending on experience, along with a full benefits package, including Accommodation and Travel, working on a rotational basis.
