Graduate Engineer

Our client was founded in 1994. The company offers an increasing comprehensive range of construction services to the UK market. In 2006 a large International Group acquired the business with further operations in The Netherlands, France and The Middle East. To complement the company’s more traditional construction services they have acquired a wide variety of additional service offerings using their dedicated and unique systems. The company is able to provide a multi-faceted cost effective solution to any project, regardless of size or location.

Due to continued growth and an ambitious expansion plan the company is now seeking to appoint a Graduate Engineer, which is seen as a great opportunity for a graduate with 0-12 months’ relevant post study work experience, and strong organisation and communication skills, to develop their career within one of the industry’s most reputable contractors. Full training will be provided, however at a minimum you must have a solid understanding of civil, geotechnical and / or structural engineering concepts.

The Role

• To provide operational and site assistance for all assigned projects and contracts
• To analyse project specifications and drawings to accurately assess and offer appropriate solutions as required
• To provide technical advice and assistance to Clients
• To prepare engineering drawings, designs and estimates / proposals

The Person

• A Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineering degree
• Excellent organisational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with a positive attitude
• The ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team environment, with excellent attention to detail
• You will possess initiative, be fully committed and have the ability to engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and influence them accordingly
• Strong problem solving and creative skills
• A good organiser with strong analytical abilities and ambitious / motivated to progress with a growing business
