As Assistant Project Manager you will be joining a leading construction and manufacturing company who specialise in the production of concrete construction products. Based in their main office in county Tyrone you will be responsible for the planning of large projects and ensuring that projects are on budget and meeting customer requirements.

Wellington Professional Recruitment is proud to be working with our client, who design and manufacture a wide range of products and solutions in concrete for both the residential and the commercial sectors and are recognised as one of the most trusted concrete producers in the UK and Ireland. Due to on-going success they are seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to their precast concrete team.

As Quantity Surveyor your role will include but not be limited to the following:

* Maintain a robust and reliable system of planning and project managing contracts
* Seek savings and efficiencies throughout duration of contracts
* Liaise with customer to ensure contract scheduling is right up to date and critical path is adhered to at all times
* Liaise with other departments, ie design, manufacturing, delivery and installations to ensure customer expectations are met
* Monitor progress of jobs in terms of program and financial budget
* Report weekly to management team highlighting problematic issues, key decisions to be made and potential bottlenecks
* Identify variations on contracts, costs and expenses claims and agree recovery of same
* Assist in negotiating final accounts with contractors
* Work closely with credit controllers to ensure debts are collected on a timely basis
* Maintain adequate records to ensure the Company's contractual position is secured

In order to be considered for the role you will have:

* At least 2-3 years relevant experience within the construction industry.
* Degree level qualification in relevant discipline, such as Construction Engineering Management or Quantity Surveying.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong IT skills.
* Knowledge of precast concrete would be advantageous but not essential.
