A superb opportunity for a business developer to join a successful regional housebuilder based in South Yorkshire. This is a new and exciting opportunity where the successful candidate can really mould the role their own way. The role offers real career progression to Business Development Manager.

The Role

My client requires an experienced business developer to join the business on a permanent level. The main purpose of the role is to build and maintain relationships with sub contractors for the business across all of the operating regions of the business. This will include Yorkshire, Midlands, North East, North West and Cumbria. You will be the main point of contact for sub contractors and take full responsibly for attracting them to the company and building healthy long lasting relationships with them.

Duties will include

Account management of a number of subcontractors

Business development

Cold calling and following up warm leads

Site visits to the company sites and to competitor sites

Weekly meetings

Attending events and PR

Assisting marketing to attract new sub contractors

Being an ambassador for the company

Skills required

My client is looking for someone with a sales/business development background and charismatic personality. You will be fearless in your approach to making new relationships and be able to manage a number of accounts at any one time. An understanding of construction or the housebuilding industry would also be advantageous.

The Package

The salary on offer is from £30,000 - £35,000 plus company car or car allowance. The company also offers a full benefits package upon successful completion of a 3 month probationary period.
