Are you a caring and compassionate Mental Health Nurse looking to work for an award-winning NHS Trust?

A busy and welcoming Community Mental Health team in Newcastle are looking for a Nurse to work for at least the next 4 months, with likely extension. The team can offer attractive pay rates of up to £22 per hour, flexible working hours and the prospect of a permanent post within the NHS Trust

The working hours are 2 days per week (15hrs) to cover for a member of staff who is on secondment to another part of the Trust.

Daily duties for this role are:

- assessing and treating individuals who are experiencing mental health issues within the psychosis and non-psychosis brackets, while working as part of an MDT

- using "clustering" to help assess risk and place clients on the scale according to the severity of their issues

- care coordinating for a group of clients of varying complexity, being responsible for their care planning process, referral and eventual discharge.

- joint working with primary care IAPT, liaison, inpatient and crisis services.

- carrying out home visits and home-based assessments

- collaborate and form good working relationships with other agencies and professionals, including police, AMHP's, GP's, etc.

Nurses who fit the below criteria are encouraged to apply:

- holds valid NMC registration

- has a nursing qualification (Mental Health)
