On behalf of my client based in the Rotherham area I am looking to recruit for a Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the new business development for the company across several revenue streams, the BDM is tasked with handling/ sourcing new leads converting new customers and exploring existing relationships to maximise revenue for the company.

The Business Development Manager is expected to convert leads. A self-starter attitude and proven new business sales experience over extended period of employment would be advantage as you will be expected to demonstrate a determined, focussed and dedicated approach and a hard working attitude.

This is a office based role, most of the communication will be via email or telephone. the company does attend a few trade shows across the UK and EU on an annual basis where you will meet the clients face to face. This is not always the case due to the locations of the customer so the ability to build rapport via calls and emails is essential.


* Utilize, review abd update the client database
* Understanding the clients needs
* Agreeing sales prices, contracts and payments
* Meeting sales targets
* Providing support and reassurance to customers
* Analyse sales data
* Increase the companies sales profits

Required Skills

* Can communicate efficiently - verbally, in print and on the phone
* Outbound business development and research into new profitable opportunities
* Be detailed oriented
* Experience with SAP would be a plus but not essential
* Experience of CRM software
* Can multitask and manage time/projects effectively
* Be able to work along with colleagues from all departments
* Have initiative, motivation and focus
* Be able to build a rapport/relationship with a customer

Salary 30k
