JOB OVERVIEW: Trainee / Entry Level / Junior Help Desk / Service Desk / 1st Line Desktop Support Engineer (MS Office, Windows 7/ 10, PC set-up, Hardware) Salary C£14K-C£16K depending on competency and experience plus comprehensive benefits package.

THE ROLE:-
My client has a truly fantastic opportunity for an entry level aspiring IT support professional. This role would be ideal for a junior / trainee looking for their first role in IT / help desk support. You will form part of the ICT Helpdesk team and will be responsible for carrying out basic duties as set out in this document and as directed by the Senior Systems Engineer / ICT Manager. Such duties will include 1 st line support by taking phone calls, creating tickets and completing basic script/process driven tasks. The successful candidate will receive in house training, with the possibility of formal training, facilitating the possibility of transitioning to a more senior role.

Your duties will include but not be limited to;

- Fielding phone calls

- Fielding verbal requests at the Helpdesk

- Creating support tickets

- Follow basic, scripted/process driven tasks

- Basic desktop support

- Supporting internal bespoke applications

- Setting up and supporting laptops and desktop equipment

PERSON SPECIFICATION:-

Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English as a minimum.

Enthusiasm for IT and learning

General interest in computers and computing

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with Microsoft Windows 7 / 10

Knowledge of computer hardware - Basic PC set-up, PC Components
