The Data Protection Manager will lead a team of analysts to embed regulatory requirements into a business based in Greater Manchester.

This includes GDPR compliance and raising data security awareness through the business.

Minimum skills required are:

* Experience data protection with an analytical approach to privacy and data protection functions relevant to an international business.
* Strong Data Protection Legislation, GDPR and DPA knowledge
* Good understanding of risk and the role of risk in privacy compliance

The Data Protection Manager will need to use their expansive experience of Data security, protection and legislations to improve company policies and pass this knowledge within their team. People management is an important component where mentoring and people development is required.


As Data Protection Manager the responsibilities are focusing adhering to GDPR regulations and ensuring policies are in place and the business is compliant. In a broad role

* Lead for compliance issues and incident management of data breaches
* expert knowledge of EU and UK data regulation, data integrity and security practices
* Assess current Data usage, management and data architecture
* Management third party suppliers and their data handling
* Stakeholders management and advising
* Management of a small team and promote development and a career progression
