Our client is one of the world's leading engineering companies and require an ICT Service Technician to work on part of a flagship project for the region.

The successful applicant must have experience working in a site support role with the ability to work well under pressure while prioritising multiple tasks. Excellent technical skills with PC hardware, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is required to enable effective user support and the ability to move PCs across a large site is a must. Many other systems are also used within the organisation so an interest in technology is desirable.

The Role

Installing, supporting and maintaining PC hardware and software
Analysing and resolving faults, escalating when required
Providing technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence both remotely and face to face
Logging and maintaining ticket life-cycle & responding to support calls within the agreed time limit
Installation of applications
Basic Active Directory user management
Manage and maintain peripherals such as printers, scanners...etc.
Troubleshoot multi-functional printer device issues
Co-ordinate and facilitate desk moves around the site
Provide support for video conferencing and AV facilities, assisting users with general queries and configuration.

The Person

Experience of site support role in a similar environment
PC hardware deployments
Good technical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications
Basic Network Configuration
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written
Able to work on own initiative & prioritise workload for the requirements of the business
Ability to work well under pressure
Perform in friendly, professional and punctual manner

Desirable Skills

Active Directory Administration
ITIL Foundation certification or, awareness of ITIL methodology and framework
PBX administration
