Data Analyst- Children's services- London- 4 month contract- £16ph umbrella

Our client are a large public sector organisation currently looking for an experienced Data Analyst who has previously worked within social care/children's services to join a small and newly established team.

Job purpose;

-Drive the development and management of the LSCB's performance framework and processes to ensure the LSCB are informed and can challenge partnership performance, by analysing data, making recommendations to the LSCB and implementing the resulting actions.
-To be responsible for collecting, collating, maintaining, analysing and reporting on data sets to identify and monitor performance outcomes in relation to Brent's LSCB.
-To contribute to ensuring that the LSCB meets all its statutory, partnership and information reporting requirements, including quality and audit standards.
-To compile reports to meet local and national reporting requirements in relation to Brent's LSCB.
-Drive the operation of the LSCBs performance management systems and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose by establishing a comprehensive data set, a system for updating it and analysing information to present to the LSCB sub-group.
-Make a positive contribution to the delivery of the service, this will include working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the LSCB.
-Support the LSCB to regularly review, assess and challenge performance across the partnership, through:
-The scrutiny, analysis and interpretation of performance data, trends and comparative benchmarking information
-Monitoring the outcomes of service provision, including equalities
-Identifying potential performance challenges, related causes and any wider implications at an early stage
-Undertaking in-depth performance reviews, as commissioned by the LSCB
-Keeping abreast of relevant good practice and performance across the public, private, voluntary and community sectors
-Leading the development and implementation of LSCB improvement projects and programmes.

To be considered you will be/have;
-Educated to at least degree (preferably involving numeracy and or/data) level or equivalent experience.
-Knowledge and understanding of the major factors, influences and challenges facing LSCBs.
-Knowledge of local government decision making.
-Detailed knowledge and understanding of the statutory safeguarding responsibilities of local authorities, statutory agencies and broader partner organisations.
-An understanding of detailed statutory responsibilities and functions of the LSCB is also required
-Knowledge of legislation and guidance in safeguarding children
-An understanding of safeguarding requirements within the wider context of improving outcomes for children and families and communities
