IT Helpdesk Support Administrator required for my Gloucestershire based client. Providing 1st line IT desktop support, the role will also provide the opportunity to be involved in desktop installations, moves and changes.

Responsibilities will include:

* To provide a first line support desk service to resolve problems e.g. password resets, maintaining active directory and fulfilling new starter requests.
* First line support will include both e-mail and telephone requests.
* To ensure all support/service request issues are logged correctly on the support desk system and assigned correctly.
* To contribute to the development of Knowledgebase and Frequently Asked Questions facilities and other appropriate user focused information sources, to enable staff to self-help.
* Liaise with 3rd party providers to resolve issues.

Person Specification

Successful candidates will be customer focused and resourceful with excellent troubleshooting skills. Enthusiasm, problem solving skills and excellent communication skills are essential, as is a good general IT / Microsoft knowledge.

* PC Deployment, Migration and Upgrades
* Fault diagnosis skills and a good attention to detail
* MCP a distinct advantage.

This role will initially be a three month contract with the potential to extend to six months and would suit candidates who have previously worked as 1st Line Helpdesk Support Analyst or an IT Service Desk Analyst.
