Are you a Linux Systems Engineer who wants to have more autonomy in your role where you can ownership of the Linux function where you can lead the drive towards automation and monitoring? Then read on.

A brilliant opportunity has come for a Linux Systems Engineer to join an international payments software provider who is scaling internationally and is setting up a new Linux engineering function.

Working closely with a team of QA's and developers you will be working as a sole Linux sysadmin in the team to own the function and improve the current disparate IT infrastructure by automating process around integration and deployment whilst also introducing monitoring.

Given you will be most senior in terms of infrastructure there will be massive autonomy in the position and the opportunity to have choice around tooling and process so you can implement whatever technologies you feel best for the job.

What we need?

A linux administrator/engineering background
Experience with scripting for automation purposes: bash, perl, python, go, java
Keen interest in automation
You will get to work with ansible
