About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
Working with one Autistic pupil on an individual basis you will be responsible for following through the Individual Education Plan (I.E.P) set up by the schools SENCO. This will involve you breaking down subject material in such a way that the pupil can understand the concepts and make sustained progress. In order to achieve this the successful candidate will need to be able to formulate a strong relationship with your student based on trust. Working with SEN pupils can be extremely rewarding but the role does not suit everyone and only those who can remain calm and focused will be suitable for this position. The school is looking for an experienced SEN TA/LSA but will offer further training and development plus the potential to go on to a teacher training course where QTS could be gained.
