Stride is an award winning Division within the STR Group, recruiting for White collar and technical roles within the water Industry. Working with one of the biggest names in the industry, wanting to expand their team in the Greater London Region.

Our client Has a need for an experienced ICA Technician, who will have a background within the water industry. Their instrumentation, control & automation (ICA) technicians ensure that all operational plant equipment is running safely and efficiently using both proactive and reactive maintenance methods. You will inspect, maintain, test or repair SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and associated PLC's, instrumentation, control and automation equipment.

Responsibilities:

Installing, modifying and commissioning new plant equipment to relevant standards and to diagnose and repair faults on systems and plants.

Pro-actively identifying and reporting follow on work or areas for enhancement.

Carrying out instrumentation, control and automation maintenance on a variety of assets including planned maintenance and defect maintenance.

Providing specialist technical advice where appropriate with up to date technical knowledge, and provide training support for technical trainees.

Support project development and input into capital delivery projects.

Investigate the nature of plant failures and subsequently carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid interruptions to the process. Examples of some instrumentation you could be working on are: flowmeters, pressure levels, ultrasonic, radar, gas detection, PH monitor.

Requirements:

Knowledge of Scada, Wonderware, and PLCS ( Alan Bradley & Rockwell )

Will have the ability to read and fault find from circuit diagrams as well as have previous experience of inverter drives.

looking for someone with experience of calibration and maintenance of front line instrumentation.

HNC Level or City and Guilds Part 2 or NVQ level 3 in an electrical Subject.
