Responsibilities:

To carry out vigorous product testing and evaluation, reporting in detail on findings.

Responsible for inspection of all new products.

To attend service calls, site surveys and installations.

To ensure that all product documentation is reviewed regularly.

Purpose/Mission: To take a lead role in assisting the Head of Quality & Conformity to maximise the efficiency of the department. To work towards the department's capacity to effectively handle any requirements regarding product specification, testing, product Introduction and quality related technical issues. To also assist with the installation Team regarding Exhibition and Show requirements as and when required.

Key Tasks: Functional

New & current product testing and evaluation including QA support .Installations and on-site product maintenance.

To Carry out inspection of new products on the QC inspection list provided by the Quality Manager.

To take responsibility and agree, in conjunction with Engineering/Quality, the product test methods and to take an active role in developing and implementing test methods for new products and customer returns using in-house test rigs.

To carry out the assembly of new fitness equipment (Boxing Stations, Weight Racks, etc) for new samples and report back the test results and findings.

Be responsible and accountable for ensuring any Risk Assessments carried out are in accordance with HSE regulations in the UK and all Health & Safety regulations are carried out in accordance with legal requirements.

Ensure that all equipment used is regularly maintained and checked in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

To assist with Corrective Actions in respect of Product revisions.

Updating of current and historical product records to standardise with current NPD drawing and specifications.

Assist with all product information enquiries for internal, sales and customer related issues.

To promote the continuous development and implementation of new systems and methods for working.

To support the Installations Team by attending installations when requested. Ensuring that the installations are progressed at each stage in a timely and efficient manner, and that internal and external customers are communicated to regularly, openly and honestly.

Conduct checks for the quality of Octagon/HTS range during the process.

Assisting with site surveys when required.

Support and provide services to other areas of operations, quality and installations as required.

To assist with Corrective Actions in respect of Product revisions and management of the Change Request System.

Assist in the maintenance of H&S Legislative Support Documents Including REACH , COSHH etc, ensuring all Risk Assessments are in accordance with HSE regulations in the UK and all Health & Safety regulations are carried out in accordance with legal requirements.

Ensure that all equipment used is regularly maintained and checked in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
