Design Engineer ( Part of a Team )
Near M11 Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire / Stansted Essex

Must be able to create and analyse portions of the product design as assigned when given direction and leadership.

Job Purpose

* Engineering design and analysis of new product or revised product.
* Reviews test and customer data, determines the causes of failures and develops appropriate solutions.
* Executes a project plan.

Some Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the development of electrical components and subsystems. Creates design that satisfies the product requirements as outlined in the product specification and resolves design problems.

* Performs engineering analysis to predict the behaviour or the proposed designs. Analysis tools may include closed form solutions, or electronic simulation programs. Computing tools may be from calculators to computers.
* Develops product design plans including budgets and schedules. Executes to plan and assists in control of project.
* Coordinates work with the product development team members such as but not exclusively: Shop, Test, Drafting, CAE, Quality, Marketing, Purchasing, Plants, Advanced Manufacturing, Sales, Technical Publications, Administration, and Management. Conducts and participates in regular project team meetings.
* Responsible for drawing package, bill of material, and product specification. Responsible for the building of prototypes.

Job Dimensions

* Travel to test sites, distributors, customers, vendors, manufacturing facilities, and others will be required.
* Ability to work with others in teams to accomplish goals. Includes task and / or project leadership.

Some Specifications

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical or Agricultural engineering required.
* 1-3 years experience preferably in the powered equipment industry.
* Successful completion of EIT requirements is desirable
