Air Conditioning/HVAC Engineer – South East London – £38k plus overtime and on call
Our client are specialists in the HVAC field providing a comprehensive service from initial design to continued maintenance. They are now looking for a qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to join the team in South East London.

The successful applicant will provide planned and reactive maintenance to various Air Conditioning VRV systems in a range of Commercial Buildings including Data Centres.

You will need specific VRV/VRF experience and perhaps have worked for a manufacturer. You will also need to be F-Gas qualified and have relevant qualifications such as NVQ level 2. Day to day role will mostly be planned and reactive maintenance with occasional installation.

Experience of the following is required:
Heat Pumps
Fan Coil Units
Refrigeration process
Refrigeration systems and components
System Charging
Leak detection
Repairing leaks
Pumping down procedures
Compressor efficiency test
Setting pressure switch
Welding and brazing
Defrost methods
Piping
Fault finding

Additional experience with down flow chilled water systems, close control in Data Centre environments is advantageous but not essential.

The type of sites will be health centres, care homes, social housing, and prestige offices. You will be required to have a full DBS and CSCS card.

Package
Basic salary of up to £38k depending on experience.
40 hour week, standard working hours of 8-5
Call out rota of 1 in 5/6. Standby is paid at £70, and a minimum of 4 hours per call out at the prevailing overtime rate. This is paid door to door when called out.
Company van and fuel card provided.
28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
Sick pay and death in service. Pension will follow later.
