Field Service Engineer required! £45,000 and upwards.

Are you competent mechanically using a variety of hand tools in order to strip, re-build, maintain, service and repair mechanical applications and bespoke equipment?

Are you mechanically qualified and enjoy travelling the world as part of your job role?

If so we have an immediate requirement for a Field service engineer!


The company manufacture and assemble bespoke equipment which are located in applications throughout the world.

We now require a service engineer to assemble, strip, rebuild, maintain and repair onsite at customer locations.

As the service engineer you must be flexible for travel.

Once trained and familiar with the applications you will be working in a flexible autonomous role.

Role: Permanent
Service Area: Europe, Middle East, Africa and Common wealth independent states

HQ: Gloucester - Must be able to commute to Gloucester HQ for workshop tasks

Work environment: You will be working on site at directly with the customer - workshop and site based

Base Salary: £30,000 working a 37 hour week + overtime paid at 1.5 + bonus = earnings of £45,000 and upwards

Benefits: Pension up to 8% contribution, Lap top, Mobile, Private healthcare, 32 days holiday, Company Bonus scheme

Extra benefits:

All expenses paid + travel time paid! Anything over 37hr is paid at time and ½ - excellent earning potential whilst travelling the world!

The ideal applicant will have as many of the following to strengthen application:

*Mechanical qualifications

*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

*Mechanically confident using hand tools

*Ability to strip and assemble complex assemblies

*An understanding of electrical circuits would be highly beneficial

*Presentable and confident working in a customer facing role

*Current and up to date passport

*Full UK Driving license

*Flexible to travel

*Computer literate - MS Word, Excel

Job Description/Duties:

* Assemble, rebuild, strip, repair, install equipment on site and in workshop/assembly environments
* Effectively performing customer technical support functions onsite and remotely
* Establishing and maintaining professional working relations with customers
* Promptly and courteously resolving questions, requests and problems
* Creating customer quotes for spare parts and service
* Maintaining the Company's professional reputation by providing superior customer service
* Making follow up calls/emails to check on customer satisfaction with products and repairs
* Completing required documentation
