Quality Technician - Engineering

Role description

The role is required to ensure that the quality of final-parts, products and sub-assemblies, is up to our highest standards. Quality Technician will be responsible for process audits, writing CAR’s and coordinating activities to CAR closure and updating documents records.

This position requires support to Customer Quality Engineers and maintenance of ISO9001.

There may be some travel involved to customer facilities.

Descriptions of duties

Diagnostics and root cause analysis of products built by the company, including re-work if necessary,
Prepare and execute process audits,
Support and control plan and PFMEA audits and updates were necessary,
To communicate customer issues to the lines by generating Care Points or 8 D’s,
To liaise with other areas within the Company i.e. logistics and engineering,
Conducting final audits following established procedures,
Assisting manufacturing employees/technicians with analysis and problem solving as needed.
Education and Experience Required

Computer literate - Microsoft Office (Excel is essential)
Good communication skills
Clean driving licence and be able to visit customers at short notice,
Internal and external audit experience would be an advantage,
ISO9001 knowledge will be an advantage,
Experience/qualification in a Technical or Quality discipline,
A team player with the ability to work from their own initiative,
Willingness to learn new skills and embrace procedures.
Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £25,000 p.a.

Hours: Days 38 Hours Mon - Fri

Location: Northampton
