Our client is a world leading manufacturer of coatings for a diverse range if industries and due to an increase in workload require E&I Technicians to work for around 6 months on their Northumberland site.

The Role

Ensure full maintenance of all general plant and equipment as well as full understanding and maintenance of Manufacturing and Filling Systems.
Actively participates in HSE&S, Sustainability and Quality activities, including the use of point of work risk assessment.
Ensure safe systems of work are in place for both planned and reactive activities, including isolation of energy sources and the issue of Permit to Work.
Create and maintain isolation procedures, change control documents and systems.
Assists in the testing and commissioning of EC&I systems
Ensures the company’s assets are cared for according to Asset Integrity Guidelines

The Person

Time served E/I technician
5 years minimum experience in manufacturing/heavy industry, commissioning/ maintaining/supporting site systems.
Understanding of commissioning automated systems.
Instrument biased (needs to be able to work on the electrical side too). Someone that seems willing to learn, as there is a lot to pick up and understand around systems
