An exciting Policy Officer opportunity to work for a leading UK stroke charity.

The Stroke Association is the leading UK stroke charity. They have been leading the fight against stroke for over 20 years. They influence and campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery.

Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £28,495 - £31,743/annum

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small, but high-achieving Policy and Influencing team in London.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, the Policy Officer will be responsible for developing UK-wide, evidence-based policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors and those at risk of stroke. You will prioritise and respond to government consultations and will horizon scan for key developments to ensure the Stroke Association is able to grow its influence.

About You:

You will have a passion for policy and improving the lives of stroke survivors as well as excellent analytical and communication skills, which you will be able to use to ensure our policy work is accessible and impactful. You’ll be comfortable with using data from a range of sources and be adept at providing high quality policy insight and advice to colleagues at all levels.

You may have experience of the following: Policy Officer, Policy Executive, Policy Assistant, Policy Administrator, Policy, Regulation, Regulatory, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, NFP, Not for Profit etc.
