Full Time
We are currently recruiting for a well-known local broking group that writes a number of schemes under a DUA. It has shown impressive organic growth over the last couple of years and has big plans for a scheme that specifically deals with antiquarian books and collectables, with plans to branch this out into other niche areas such as Retro Gaming, Movie Posters and Collectable Dinky Toys!

You will be responsible for underwriting business on a binder, both new and renewal, on this antiquarian books and collectables scheme consisting of four sub-products. You will deal with clients directly and liaise with their Insurer who will provide support for risk elements falling outside of your internal authority. The binder is made up of a mixture of commercial combined and Household based risks. Additional tasks will be allocated aside from daily activities to help grow and further establish the scheme.

They seek an enthusiastic, high energy individual who is looking for a challenge, who can demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive outlook, and who has genuine career aspirations within the insurance market!

They are open to seeing people from varying background, given the niche nature of the schemes and would look at graduates with 1-2 years insurance experience, as well as those with 3 years + experience in the insurance industry as a commercial underwriter or a Private Clients/HNW Underwriter, but will also consider those with 4 years Plus broking experience. You will also ideally be Dip CII qualified or above, although those currently studying/already have the Cert CII exam as a minimum are also invited to apply.

If you have Experience using the Acturis software and experience working under a delegated authority arrangement these would be major plus points.

They are able to offer training both internally and externally when required, along with study support towards CII qualifications.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive starting salary of £25-40k, and this is totally dependent on your experience
