We are recruiting for a Placements Officer for a new temporary opportunity to work in a Children's residential environment for an independant fostering agency that provides that has been supporting children and young people for over 30 years.

As a Placements Officer you will be responsible for dealing with referals from local authorities, assigning referals to the correct care homes and liasing with care home managers as well as administration duties around the role. For this reason your knowledge and experience of working in residential childcare is essential in order to be able to understand and assign the referals correctly. Administration experience is desirable.

Our client are looking for somebody to step into the role who is able to work off their own initiative whilst also being a good team player. Good time management, organisational skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are also desirable. An enhanced DBS registered on the update service is preferable.

On the job training will be provided however we are looking for somebody who has the experience and enthusiasm to hit the ground running immediately.

This role is perfect for somebody who is looking to take the next step in their care career and who has at least 1 years experience of working in a children's residential environment supporting vulnerable children and young people or 6 months with a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

This is a temporary opportunity, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
