A Market Development Manager is required for a world class manufacturer of solutions for the semiconductor industry that include Mass Flow Controllers, Mass Flow Meters including High-Temperature Mass Flow and Liquid Mass Flow. Liquid Automatic Refill Systems, Liquid Vaporizers, Mixed Injection Systems and Gas Concentration Monitors.

This is a 10-year job and a newly created role to sell existing products into new markets, then over a 3-7 year period sell new products into existing markets that are for vacuum coating, pharma, bioreactors, and food and beverage industries. The job has a good variety of tasks in marketing, account management, business development, new business, and channel sales with the associated challenges, and enormous financial and professional potential.

You will receive a basic starting salary of £50,000- £58,000 plus 10%-20% bonus, and £6,600 PA car allowance plus corporate benefits and be contracted for only a 35 hrs per week, which will also give you a good work/home life balance.

The purpose of the job is to create, manage and coordinate new business development opportunities for within EMEA region.


- Identify/Develop/Lead/Coordinate/Manage relationships with key and target customers.
- Provide inputs to Marketing, Marcoms, Product Development and segment sales management related to activities for the business to achieve accelerated profitable market share growth within the EMEA region.
- Creation, development and execution of sales campaigns aligned with strategic drivers.
- Lead a Key Account approach to customer management and influence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current or potential customers and industry associations to gain knowledge of the future market and customer needs.
- In conjunction with Regional Managers, the development & execution of specific country growth plans to support the EMEA target market growth plan
- Conduct and document competitive research, identifies paradigm shifting and emerging technologies, new market trends, and customer requirements for products, systems, and value added services.
- Produce market analysis and reports/presentations to business segment and group management as required.
- Identification and prioritisation of required marketing communications and sales promotional materials and programs to support growth plan objectives.


Skills and Experience:


- Proven key account management/ business development skills within a multi-division / multinational environment, with a proven execution of market growth plans.
- Minimum of 5 years` experience in working within or selling to the high technology markets.
- Ability to develop solutions to customer problems and translate the solutions into business development strategies and products.
- Willingness to travel between 30% - 50% of the time both domestically and foreign.


- Bachelor`s degree/ HND in technical / engineering discipline.
- Experience of developing and delivering integrated sales campaigns.
- Innovative/creative background and capabilities.
- French & German languages would be an advantage.
- Fluidics background
