Helpdesk Support Engineer

Based Maidenhead

£25K - £30K + Pension and Healthcare

6 month FTC

Our client is a managed services provider who provides services across network security and network management. This is a fantastic opportunity which has the potential to evolve into a pre / post sales consultancy position as experience is built!

The hours for this role are 8am - 6.30pm.

***This role is Maternity Leave Cover - however it is highly likely to become permanent***

Helpdesk Support Engineer role includes:

* Dealing with new and existing customer support tickets via phone and email
* Liaising with vendors and the technical teams to resolve tickets
* Having a good understanding of customer needs and requirements
* Configuration and supporting products

Helpdesk Support Engineer skills required include:

* Solid experience working in a customer facing helpdesk role
* Strong communication skills - must be able to confidently convey ideas and concepts to customers / vendors
* Ability to quickly understand and troubleshoot new products
* Technical understanding of these technologies would be advantageous:

* Aruba, BlueCoat, Gigamon, Juniper, McAfee, Netscout, Riverbed
* Wired and Wireless networking
* Security - Encryption, anti-virus, DLP
* Windows and Linux based operating systems
