These full time, permanent vacancies are based within the picturesque village of Upper Bucklebury, just 7 miles from Newbury and 12 miles from Reading. This is a lovely 6-bedded residential home which will give you the opportunity to hone and develop your skills and knowledge in the following specialist areas:

- Autistic Spectrum Disorders
- Sensory impairments
- Complex needs & physical disabilities
- Behaviour that can challenge

You will be supported by an experienced and fully qualified Manager, who has a great relationship with both local professionals and our service users. The home itself is a very natural and relaxed environment with a 'family home' feel, and blends in well with the rest of the houses on this classy village lane.

Responsibilities
- Clear communication with the people you support using appropriate methods, including tact, empathy and diplomacy. This may include using specialist communication methods
- Assisting with individuals care, including personal care and assisting with bathing (where the individual requires this) in order to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Carrying out duties in compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent
- Participating and arranging daily outings, activities, holidays or recreational pursuits when required in order to assist the people you support with all aspects of their daily life

Requirements
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- A confident, positive and engaged personality
- Able to work flexible shift patterns including earlies, lates and sleeps
- Full driving licence which has been clean for the last 3 years
