Look no further, we are seeking experienced support workers to join a large team supporting adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities.

These full time, permanent vacancies are based within the Taunton area of Somerset. This can be a very challenging and complex service, which will give you the opportunity to hone and develop your skills and knowledge in specialist fields including:

* Autistic Spectrum Disorders
* Prader-Willi Syndrome
* Cerebral Palsy

This residential service can come with high challenges and will need the right candidate to be confident and self motivated. The company provides extensive training, including a pre-induction prior to starting work to get you up to speed with the individuals you will be supporting and any challenges you may face and how to handle them. All the people they support are provided with holistic care using principles of personalisation and person centred care

* Clear communication with the people you support using appropriate methods, including tact, empathy and diplomacy. This may include using specialist communication methods
* Assisting with individuals care, including personal care and assisting with bathing (where the individual requires this) in order to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
* Carrying out duties in compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent
* Participating and arranging daily outings, activities, holidays or recreational pursuits when required in order to assist the people you support with all aspects of their daily life


* EITHER experience with challenging learning disabilities OR mental health needs (or both!)
* A confident, positive and resilient character
* Able to work flexible shift patterns including earlies, lates and nights
* Full driving licence which has been clean for the last 3 years
