An automation reseller with over 12 offices nationwide is looking to recruit an Internal Technical Sales person. This role will see you provide technical knowledge and advice as well as maintaining customer relationships. The ideal candidate will hold an electrical engineering qualification.

Commutable from: Northampton, Milton Keynes, Luton, Banbury

Salary: £ 25,000 - £ 27,000 p.a. + Pension + Healthcare

Suitable for: Assembly Wire Person, Control Panel Builder, Assembly Technician

The Role

Manage workloads on a daily basis in line with team resource and customer required delivery dates
Provide best practise support and work with other team members to review and where appropriate streamline the manufacturing process and improve efficiency
Monitor build quality within the department and determine rectification system for correcting errors or quality issues
Manage all job-packs and associated documentation in relation to builds within the production department
Ensure work is carried out in a timely and safe manner.
Personally build, wire and test starter and other LV equipment as dictated by resource availability and current orders
Work with Production Manager on all recruitment issues and to determine requirement for external contract labour
Work with the Warehouse Distribution team to maintain and where necessary improve current service levels to the Assembly Cell
Be accountable for personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with company's core competencies and learning and development framework
Work with Production Team to ensure working areas are kept clean and tidy and in compliance with current Health and Safety requirements
Takes on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives.

The Person

It is important that the job holder should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and the ability to work within a structured environment.
It will be important for the job holder to methodical and precise in their approach.
It is important to have good working knowledge of Microsoft office systems
A good level of education is required, with at least GSCE's in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Electrical Craft Apprenticeship and an ONC/D in electrical engineering (or equivalent electrical engineering qualification) is highly desirable.
Broad knowledge of wiring and fitting best practice with an understanding of wiring regulations is essential
Experience within an electrical engineering role, or a background in electrical distribution would be an advantage.
The role holder will have the ability to provide practical solutions, solve problems and look for continuous improvements for both the customer and the company.
The ability to plan and prioritise will be key for being successful in the role.
Previous supervisory experience would be an advantage.
