Residential SEN Support Worker.

Are you looking for a Residential Support Worker opportunity without having to commit to night shifts and long hours?

I am currently looking to fill a number of exciting positions which involve working within the children's sector of a large special needs residential base. The service users are aged between 3 and 19 years old, and are housed in state of the art purpose built homes.

All service users have been diagnosed with profound and multiple learning difficulties as well as multi-sensory impairments.

About the role:
- You will contribute to the day to day running of the home whilst promoting a high standard of service and care.
- You will ensure that the children's individual needs are met daily which will include the delivery of personal care and the promotion of independence.
- You will be involved in promoting positive behaviour and dealing with challenging incidents.

The ideal individual:
* Will hold - QCF (NVQ Level 3) - Health and Social Care (CCYP) Diploma or equivalent or commitment to undertake qualification within first year of appointment.
* Will have experience working with special needs or learning/physical disabilities
* Ability to administer medication (training will be provided)
* Will be comfortable with personal care, including toileting
* Maintain Emergency First Aid qualification or commitment to undertake qualification
* Good time-keeping, reliable and a flexible approach to work

This is a temporary to permanent contract. You must be flexible over the full 7 days and able to commit to a 37.5 hour per week contract.
