Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Northampton)

Shifts – Monday to Friday Days

Salary - £33k + generous overtime

The Company

Our client is one of the UK’s largest millers and bakers in the country. Still family owned, the company originally started milling flour in the 16th century. Starting with just one small mill in rural Northamptonshire, they now have over seven production sites across the UK.

Supplying to major supermarkets and small local bakeries, they can handle over 200 different varieties of Wheat converting over 4500 tons a week on their four fully automated milling lines. As well as flour production they also take the waste from the milling process and press this into animal feed.

The company have enjoyed a sustained period of growth, even through the recession, and are continuing to grow even now. As such they are currently installing a fifth mill line, with another planned for 2017 and various smaller upgrade projects alongside this.

The Role

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be required to work in three key areas within the Maintenance team, reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and installation / continuous improvement projects on the following equipment:

* Mill rollers.
* 3 phase motors (Start Delta).
* Bucket Elevators.
* Screw and Belt Conveyors.
* Vacuum systems.
* Sieves.
* Pellet Presses.
* Bag stitchers.
* Metal detectors.
* X-Rays.
* Check weighers.
* Conveyor Systems.
* Depositors.
* Carton Erectors and Box Sealers.
* Printers and Labellers.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

* Must have worked as an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer in a production environment.
* Must have electrical qualification as a minimum.

Fully paid training will be provided to candidates who need development on the following: IPAF, Harness, Abrassive wheel training, elevated platform use, supplier bag stitcher and PLC courses, SCADA and Network training, Welding and Gas cutting.
