Our client a fantastic organisation working within the motor claims sphere are currently seeking an experienced In-house Engineer to join their team.

 Responsibility for dealing with Motor Engineering referrals from the busy Motor Claims function within the office.
 Responsibility for the Desk Vet and on occasions in the field inspection of damaged vehicles as requested.
 Meeting leakage targets and obtaining high quality value for money repairs that do not adversely affect the safety of the vehicle.
 Production of reports and estimates and authorisation and direction of repairs, together with valuation of vehicles
 Arranging disposal of salvage in accordance with the ABI guidelines.
 To develop and maintain effective relationships with repairers and intermediaries thus ensuring highest levels of customer satisfaction at the lowest fair repair cost
 World class professional presentation of Company policy, procedures and ethics in all dealings with customers, repairers, manufacturers in day to day business dealings
 To provide an inspection service to external clients on a fee-paying basis
 To maintain up to date and accurate records and provide regular returns in established format
 Number of inspections, valuations and other items of work performed.
 Quality and timeliness of inspections, valuations, audits and invoice review
 Quality of claims leakage reduction
 Amount of claims savings
 Accuracy of categorisation of salvage and timeliness of disposal of salvage.
 Monitor repair work and activities of repairers so to ensure that the average repair cost falls within the motor engineers territory minimum number of substandard repair referrals.

Technical Judgements
 Thorough knowledge of the details of the methods of motor vehicle accident repair.
 Experience of estimating and negotiation
 Thorough knowledge of practices relating to the handling of motor claims.
 The use of computer aided estimating systems.
 Relevant insurance products.
 Professional engineering judgement, thereby stemming claims leakage.
 Detailed knowledge of the method of repair of motor vehicles.
 Detailed knowledge of the ABI guidelines.

Experience:
Essential
 VDA ATA Accreditation
 Member of Engineering Institutes
 Thorough Knowledge of Computerised Estimation Systems (Audatex and Glassmatix)
