Site Manager- New Build Housing

Our client are an established House Builder with a reputation of developing award winning homes.

Due to their continuous growth, they have a requirement for a Site Manager to manage one of their projects in Peterborough.

On site the successful applicant will have the goal of achieving the target contributions in accordance with the contract documents and programme; ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, to a high
standard of quality and with high levels of client/resident satisfaction.

Within this post key responsibilities are:

• To assist the Contracts Manager with pre-start details.
• To report to the Project / Contracts Manager on the progress against the programme.
• Coordination / Leadership of the site team, inclusive of Assistant Managers, Resident Liaison
Officers, Administrators, Sub-Contractors and other site operatives.
• Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
• Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports.
• To be responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site based documentation.
• Management of site facilities; welfare, offices, compound area, toilets etc.
• Safe storage and co-ordination of materials.

What they are looking for:

•Previous site management experience is essential.
•Longevity in previous roles (2-3 years)
• Be prepared to work within various geographical areas
• Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation.
• Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Understanding of local government construction (refurbishment/New Build) projects.
• Experience of Partnership arrangements.
• Ability to fully operate Microsoft Project and MS Office (Word & Excel).
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines.
• Current and Valid UK driving licence.
