Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Manchester have a fantastic contracted opportunity to work within one of our Residential Care Clients based in Tameside.

The Role;

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will be expected to support a Young Person (14 years of age) within the Home

Due to the nature of the Young Persons needs you will be working on a 5:1 basis supported by your fellow colleagues at all times.

You will be expected to work in a person centred way, allowing and encouraging the Young Person to flourish within their day to day life and actively promoting independance.

The level of support for this Young Person is such due to the Young Persons Challenging Behaviours during Crisis and as such all staff will have a direct responsibility to maintain safe boundaries at all times as well as the possibility for physical restraints to ensure the Clients safety. (Full training provided)

Candidate Fit;

You will have experience and knowledge working within Mental Health or similar background with a direct understanding of Challenging Behaviours and Crisis Management.

You will have excellent communication skills and able to communicate within a multi disciplined team and be able to confidently record information.

All applicants must have a clear Enhanced DBS

You will be available to work on contracted basis (full or part time) for a 12 month period with a committed attitude to the role.

All applicants will be provided with Client specific training alongside the standard Mandatory Training - this must be successfully passed to enable commencement with support and will include physical interventions and holds.

The Opportunity;

We are looking for an extensive team and are open to both part-time and full time applicants to join the team.

Contract for Full time Hours - circa 40 hours plus per week (2.5 days per week)

Contract Part time Hours - circa 16/24 hours per week (1/1.5 days per week)

Hourly pay rates will be £10 per hour

Working Hours Mon-Sun

7am-11pm (long day - with breaks)

7am-2.30pm (Early)

2pm-11pm (Late)

All applicants must be available for extensive training prior to package commencement with a planned start date of September.
