JOB OVERVIEW: Business Development Manager - Utilities / Water / Environmental experience is CRITICAL ! You will be welcome to predominantly work from home when not travelling and working in territory. Candidates MUST have a Water / Utilities / Environmental sales track record to be considered. Salary £45K plus £5K car allowance plus £25K OTE plus excellent benefits package.

LOCATION:- 3 main territories need to be covered being either 1) Berkshire/London 2) Midlands 3) North East. Beyond your single assigned territory you will be also able to venture across the UK. The UK Head office is in Bristol where you will be expected to visit typically one day a week.

My established client is a reputable water retailer focused on the commercial market who's clients include SME's, corporations and public sector bodies. My client works hard to create water efficiency programmes designed to meet their customers' specific needs including reducing cost and improving environmental performance.

THE ROLE:-
My client has exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, confident and motivated business development managers / sales professionals who have experience of selling solutions within the utilities or environmental markets. The Business Development Team, covering English and Scottish commercial water supply and services market works to strategically grow market share in terms of turnover & importantly margin. We’re looking for candidates who have demonstrable experience of business development, solution sales and commercial management within either the Utilities or Environmental markets. Your day to day duties and responsibilities will include;

Developing new relationships and winning new business
Preparing and managing quotations and bids closely monitoring timelines
Recognising and developing new commercial opportunities
Establishing strong working relationships with new and existing customers
Looking for new avenues to increase productivity and efficiency
Managing and developing contractual and commercial contracts with customers and delivery partners
Strive to strategically expand and improve upon current procedures and policies whilst meeting regulatory guidelines

PERSON SPECIFICATION:-

Extensive Business Development sales experience SPECIFICALLY in the Utiliies or Environmental B2B sales marketplace.
Creative solution sales experience
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a commercial role
Experience with tenders and brokerage preferred.
Effective decision making and time delivery skills
A flexible approach to working arrangements
