Industrial Electrician / 17th Edition / JIB / IPAF / ECS

Rate: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour + premium overtime rates

Location: Swindon, Marlborough, Wantage, Chippenham, Malmesbury, Cirencester, Faringdon, Burford, Oxford, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire.

Our client provides expertise within Datacoms, Fibre & Electrical projects throughout the life cycle of industrial sites, from design and engineering to commissioning and maintenance in the manufacturing and process sectors.

The Role:

This global electrical and telecommunications company is looking for an Industrial Electrician to work on site in Swindon assisting with general electrical installation and lighting works. Normal shifts will be 9-10 hour days typically starting on site at 07:30am and weekends will be required.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Ensures that work is in line with approved plans and compliant with the contract
* Responsible for site installation and maintenance activities, the control of materials and inspection and testing
* Strong communication skills with contractors and employees
* Maintaining and updating the site folder and inspection/test records
* Ensures the safety of all personnel on site
* Supports the Contract Engineer in their role
* Complete installation of containment conduit / galvanised trunking / tray work

Key Skills Required:

Experienced Industrial Electrician, ideally within a variety of environments from Construction, Industrial and Automotive Production Facilities. Must have 17th Edition City & Guilds (2382), City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing. ECS/CSCS, IPAF and Asbestos Awareness are essential for this role.

* Working in confined spaces
* Working around Plant and Machinery
* Flexible working Hours/Weekends/Nights
* Working with all forms of containment essential - Galvanised Trunking/Conduits
* IPAF/MEWP Licence
