Are you a proven Manufacturing Manager with experienced of successfully managing a high volume production unit? If so, we are recruiting a Senior Manager for a leading automotive supplier based in Oxfordshire, who have been through a significant period of growth and require a highly professional Manufacturing Manager, with knowledge of the Automotive supply chain.

The Manufacturing Manager will play a key role in developing, monitoring and evaluating overall Key Performance Indicators. Emphasis will be on all aspects of Production, including Manufacturing engineering, Continuous Improvement and Maintenance functions to support the business process across the site.

Responsibilities:

* You will have responsibility for the manufacturing performance within the business.
* To understand and control costs within your team including manufacturing efficiency, quality performance and overtime
* To support the continuous development of product and processes and initiatives within your area, by being a champion of Lean Manufacturing techniques
* To support New Project Introduction within the manufacturing area

Manufacturing:

* Work to achieve the Key Performance Indicators set in agreement with the Vice President Global Operations & General Manager
* To prioritise and balance workloads ensuring manufacturing output and efficiency is achieved
* To ensure quality performance is maintained and improved upon
* To plan and implement the manufacturing programme meeting customer expectation of On Time (OT) and In Full (IF)
* Working with the manufacturing team to achieve and improve upon agreed finished stock levels
* To ensure information relating to daily events including production requirements, sales achievements, Quality matters, visitors etc. are disseminated to the teams
* To offer leadership on health and safety matters ensuring guidelines are followed including the upkeep of systems including Risk Assessments, Fire hazards, Noise etc.
* To be actively involved in new developments / processes to expand the product portfolio
* To be involved in and encourage team members to participate in Continuous Improvement activities
* To motivate, mentor, coach and provide encouragement for all team members
* Where appropriate to complete Human resource activities within the team. These include, but are not limited to Personal Development reviews, return to work interviews, team disciplinary matters, authorise and schedule team member holiday requests, recruitment interviews etc.
* To be involved in manufacturing related capital expenditure and equipment selection decision making process

Applicants will have experience of working in Automotive industry or FMCG and have worked in a environments where quality is paramount, exposure to TS 16949 would be an advantage. This is a hands on role that requires someone with a strong presence and excellent influencing skills.
