OVERVIEW

• £14-16.50 PH.
• Days/Afters.
• Temporary ongoing.
• Based in the Dewsbury WF12 area.

SHIFTS

Weekly alternating shifts:
Monday-Friday: 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00

THE JOB

• Operation of a preventative maintenance programme across a wide range of machines and factory services such as compressors, power distribution and utilities.
• You will be required to respond to machine breakdowns and establish an action plan to quickly return that machine to production.
• Specification and maintenance of spares for the full range of machines.
• Identify improvements to machinery and implement changes with minimal effect to production schedules.
• Continued compliance of the maintenance database with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000.
• Maintain compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 environmental standards.
• Review and report the need for update of applicable work instructions and shop floor quality controls.
• Maintain the building and services in accordance with the site and services schedule.
• You will be reporting to the Facilities Manager.

THE PERSON
• A sound education to ONC (or apprentice trained) in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Qualified to 17th edition electrical regulation.
• Flexible, motivated and a good communicator.
• Computer literate - including essential use of ‘Windows’ based systems.
• An organised problem solver. Hands on approach. Able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Fully conversant with the relevant H & S legislation.
• Operates cover for a three-shift system.
EHSE responsibilities
• Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others.
• Ensure all new machine & equipment meets safety and ergonomic requirements.
• Ensure any cell/production changes improve safety and ergonomics or employees and the work place.
• Observing site safety rules, Risk Assessments, and reporting.
• Co-operating with management in the maintenance of high standards of health and safety by adhering to instructions and training.
• Complying with all relevant requirements to wear personal protective clothing and equipment and to use all relevant safety devices designed to eliminate or minimise work-related hazards.
• Reporting any issues that may affect the health, safety or welfare of themselves or others.
• Communicating to their manager any suggestions to enhance environmental, health and safety standards.
• Participating in safety programs and fulfilling the responsibilities to which they have been trained and assigned (e.g., first aid responders, emergency evacuation coordinators).
