Full Time
Although schools may be closing their doors in the next few days, Teaching Personnel are still extremely busy and schools will still be seeking support staff, specifically to conduct 1:1 support for the new early year’s intake. As an incoming support SEN teaching assistant you will be requiring a nurturing, mothering personality to help these children with a smooth transition.
The pupils you will be supporting are going to feel daunted, nervous and worried meaning you will need to be a consistent role model for them and make sure they are accessing all the support they require.
The early years unit in the OL2 Primary School is larger than average with 60 pupils. A busy environment, you need to be able to use your own initiative at all time.
The role:
Supporting nervous and daunted early year’s pupils.
Being nurturing, mothering and consistent role model.
Help with smooth transition.

The School:
As mentioned this schools early years unit is significantly bigger than average meaning you will be working with a larger team, 8 Practitioners. However they will be relying on your knowledge and experience to use your own initiative and get stuck in when needed.
