Job Purpose Statement

Are you a Brand Champion??

The shape of Johnston Press is evolving rapidly.
We need to engage up to four ‘Brand Champions’ to deliver multi-media channel solutions to a large community of recently lapsed clients.

These roles will be pivotal in the development of our business and will require 100% commitment to delivering excellence.

There will be substantial training and development for the right candidates, as you will effectively manage and control ‘re-activation’ of lapsed SME Clients, to determine their future customer journey with Johnston Press.

Successful candidates will need to be ready to face challenging targets and to meet expectations in line with the Johnston Press UK -wide footprint. You will also need to be innovative and open to new ideas and product lines in an ever changing environment.

As well as having great multi-media knowledge, successful candidates will also need to demonstrate strengths in customer care, along with a very strong productivity record.

Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities

-Increase Market Share within a defined geographical territory through the revival of lapsed clients and selling multi-media solutions
-Achieve challenging productivity targets, making up to 120 telephone calls per day
-Create and present a portfolio of media products that meets the customers’ needs and JP Group objectives
-Thrive on working within a fast paced and rapidly changing, quality focused environment
-Meet and exceed revenue and sales targets
-Be flexible in your approach to sales and be able to take a consultative approach
-Preferably, you will have experience of upselling media solutions over the phone
-Have a talent for making customers feel special
-Have the confidence and knowledge to guide customers to new channels
-An excellent track record in customer conversion
-Highly determined and committed
-Use script guidelines appropriately and follow detailed product briefs
-Work as part of a team and contribute to shared goals and objectives

Experience / qualifications

-Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
-Used to working within very fixed deadlines and under pressure
-Experience of building long term business relationships
-Intermediate computer skills, including mastery of functions such as navigating between multiple windows and sites, tracking and logging entries in a database
-Cold calling prospective clients; working within a dialer environment and self-source (desirable but not essential).
-Experience in the advertising and/or marketing industries is a plus
