Salary: £30,000 + Bonus

Hours / Shifts: 5x days per week, will be a mixture of early, on shifts and late shifts, but mainly shift finishing at 10pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our client prestigious Central Bath Hotel & Spa

As Head Chef you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our clients casual dining, encompassing beautiful breakfasts, light lunches, exquisite afternoon teas with a curious twist, delicious dinners talked about private dining events and ensuring delivery of exceptional quality and consistency.

You will lead the team to ensure quality standards are achieved and will have a key role in training and developing the team. You will manage the operation, including people management, stock control, budgetary management and health and safety.

You will be an excellent team player with a hands-on and organised approach to your role, passionate about your team and working in a new and inspiring hotel operation. You must be able to develop your team's creative style, while building a stimulating and exciting environment. With this in mind, you will have previous experience at a similar level and have proven experience. The position will cover all areas with the focus on evening service

The ideal candidate will have experience in and understand good casual dining and informal restaurants

As Head Chef you will be responsible for:

* Ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times
* Team management and leadership including coaching and training of a small team
* The preparation and service of food in our sitting rooms and private dining rooms, with a main focus on breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea and a memorable private dining experience
* Appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotation and portion control
* Purchasing and cost control
* Health, safety and hygiene management
* Development and ongoing learning of the kitchen team
