Full Time
Julian House delivers a range of services for homeless and socially excluded people, including offenders and ex-offenders, rough sleepers, people with substance misuse needs, people with experience of domestic abuse and people with multiple and complex needs.

We are committed to delivering client-led services. We believe that active involvement can play an important role and is often the building block to wider civic engagement, self-worth and independence.

This key role will work within our newly commissioned supported accommodation service in Somerset, where offenders will receive specialist wrap-around support, skills development training and peer-support, in order to positively turn their lives around and move-on sustainably; free from offending.

Based in Taunton, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Volunteer and Mentoring Coordinator who can deliver a range of client involvement, volunteering and mentoring initiatives within the service.

You will have specialist skills in working with mentors and volunteers and the ability to make volunteering and mentoring opportunities accessible to our clients. You will also be instrumental in working with fellow team members to facilitate the development of peer support and client involvement; enabling offenders to have a voice and influence in the delivery of the service.
