We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic person to join the team who has excellent customer service skills as you will be customer facing. A good, calm, reassuring manner is essential with a strong attention to detail as well as a good all round experience of IT.

The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, PC / Printer Hardware and Microsoft Office, as well as desktop imaging applications (SCCM). Experience of using a computerised Helpdesk/Service Desk system, Remote Control Support Tools, Wireless technologies and knowledge of ITIL processes are essential. You will need to be proactive in booking appointments with clients as well as keeping documentation up to date and reporting progress to management on a weekly basis. You need to be a team player as well as be able to work on your own and we would welcome applications from candidates with a variety of experience levels.

The role is part of the technical helpdesk team which provides IT support to the NHS staff. The position is based within two sites, shared between Basingstoke Hospital and Winchester Hospital.

This role is to start asap and will pay between £9.31 and £11.18 p/h PAYE (excluding pension and holiday pay) or £11.29 to £13.68 p/h (Umbrella). This role is inside the scope of IR35.
