A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Manager to join a privately-owned, award winning property solutions business based in Lincoln; focusing on retail, distribution and health developments. You will be responsible for providing necessary resource for building services requirements within the construction business. You will be required to take charge of multiple projects at any one time and be fully experienced and capable of controlling and managing building services resources/elements on a wide range of project type and scales up to £5m in value.

The ideal candidate will be multi disciplined with comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, public health and refrigeration services. You will have experience of retail and development sectors and must be capable of taking projects from tender stage through to completion. You will need to be commercially aware and have the ability to ensure the company has the commercial edge at tender stage and be able to provide assistance to the QS for final accounting.

Must be open to travelling/ lodging away.

Principal Responsibilities

* Involvement from Pre-Construction stage through to Making Good Defects.
* Ensure building services are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in a manner that enhances company's reputation for quality.
* Ensure resources are sufficient to deliver building services on each project / workstream allocated.
* Work with Procurement to ensure supply chain has capability & capacity to deliver workload.

* Holds both internal & external relationships.
* Ensure that relationships between customers, consultants and supply chain are positively managed.
* To effectively manage building services supply chain performance.

* Provide technical advice and support from Pre-Construction through to PC.
* Engage appropriate external technical resource when required.

* To provide assistance to surveying colleagues throughout the project lifespan.
* Ensure that the building services supply chain undertake their works in accordance with their contractual responsibilities.
* Involvement in cost planning, cost reviews and value engineering.

* Ensure building services elements are undertaken within company procedures, throughout the life of the project.
* To review and enhance procedures associated with the management of building services, where appropriate.

* Provide regular, timely and accurate reporting on building services elements.

Required Qualifications
* Degree / HNC / HND level and/or relevant experience
* CSCS - Platinum Managers
* NVQ - 4
