Client Overview

Our client is an industry leader in rolling stock engineering. They provide project and consultancy services to maximise vehicle utilisation and performance. They are currently running several modification projects to Rolling Stock fleets including two retraction projects, installing state of the art "Regenerative Braking" to British Midlife Rail Vehicles.

Job overview

We are looking for a Warranty Manager to manage on-going warranty programs to several Rolling Stock fleets. You will be reporting to the operations director and be the company's representative in all warranty issues with their clients. You will manage a small team of technicians responsible for the identification and reporting of issues, and be responsible for the commercial, technical and supply chain issues encountered.

Person Profile/Experience

We are looking for a Warranty, Depot or Fleet Manager who is looking for their next career move. The role will require a competent engineering manager, who is able to understand complex engineering issues and subsequently manage customer expectations. Candidates must come from a strong engineering background and demonstrate relevant experience including management of supply chain issues, process improvement and warranty closure; ideally applicants will have two years' experience within in a rail environment.

Key Accountabilities & Qualifications

The successful Candidate will demonstrate the following;

*You must possess relevant warranty management experience within an engineering background.
*Demonstrate relevant experience of managing process improvement, engineering changes, supply chain issues and warranty closure.
*Ideally 2 years management experience within the rolling stock industry on warranty, exams or modification projects.
*A good understanding of UK Rolling Stock and Rail vehicle systems.
*Experience in managing customer, client and team relationships.
*Have excellent written & verbal communication skills and be able to meet varying demands.
*Be able to drive and happy commuting to Rolling Stock Depot's across the UK when required.
