Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.

IT Operations provides the highest quality technology-based services, in the most cost-effective manner, to support MPS's business strategy and strategic change programme. The department develops, enhances and manages applications and infrastructure through appropriate architecture streams to provision highly effective, reliable, secure, and innovative information systems to support MPS in its delivery of a world class service by exceptional staff.

We are recruiting for a 3rd Line Support Analyst, to work in our IT Operations department, based in our Leeds office.

The post holder will act as a technical escalation point and manage any incidents and requests escalated from the 2nd line Service Desk team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Take responsibility for monitoring of MPS IT infrastructure and resolving any issues
* Ownership of the technical problem register and completion of detailed root cause analysis
* Act as the primary 3rd line point of contact for incidents and problems escalated by the Service Desk team.
* Respond to event notification alerts generated from MPS infrastructure
* Problem resolution documentation with effective knowledge transfer to 2nd line and Service Desk, taking into account current systems processes and procedures.
* A general awareness of current security issues and an appreciation of how they may affect MPS systems

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Detailed knowledge and experience with Microsoft technologies and server virtualisation technologies
* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010
* Detailed, logical and analytical thinker
* Knowledge of desktop virtualisation technologies
