Business Development Manager – Healthcare Sector

The Role of the Business Development Manager -

To be the business development lead to the healthcare sector vertical and win new business for the company. To be responsible for meeting their new business targets, provide necessary management information to the Commercial Director and the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

● Set up and design new business development strategy in order to generate new business
● Perform necessary activities and to generate leads, qualify them and convert them into new business
● Work with business analysts, account managers and technical staff to create the best proposition for the customers
● Ensure that the commercial model is applied to all new business
● Be a key member of the growing sales team and the revenue of the business vertical
● Work with the bid writer(s) to achieve their targets and budgets
● Work closely with the marketing department to optimise the marketing strategy, messaging and sales collateral.
●Work within the business on optimising the positioning of the company
and its service offering
● Report on sales performance and sales forecasting on regular basis

Experience/Qualifications of the Business Development Manager -

● At least 1 year sales experience in software and healthcare
● Proven track record of generating leads and consistently exceeding their targets
● Clear understanding and skill in being able to lead consultative approach to sales
● Commercial awareness and background in the software industry
● Excellent analytical and numeracy skills
● Excellent writing skills
● Ability to communicate with skill and emotional awareness
● Ability to deal with customers effectively in stressful situations
● Strong organisational skills and capable of planning complex pieces of work
● High level of computer literacy
