Procurement Assistant

A leading provider of building engineering services is currently looking for a Procurement Assistant to join their dynamic and forward-thinking Procurement team based in Hertfordshire. The company has been building its impressive reputation for over 10 years and has recently picked up many new long-term contracts and therefore is expanding its procurement team. Currently employing c150 staff they are looking to add to this over a 12-month period due to upcoming workload and growth plans. This means it's an exciting time for someone to join them as they will be a part of the journey.

To be considered for the Procurement Assistant Role you will have to have the following skills and experience:

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and passion to grow in a team environment
* A positive and "can do" attitude
* Computer literate
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

As Procurement Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:

* Co-ordination of mechanical and electrical plant, materials and hired equipment
* Work in collaboration with the Procurement Manager and assist he/she daily
* Control relevant department documents and attend to the administrative duties
* Stakeholder management
