Vacancy Overview:
To work with the Maintenance and Facilities, Production Supervision and Production teams to ensure, maximum efficiency of machines. Working initially on a Continental shift basis the individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, investigating and practical maintenance, repair and re-setting of machines to ensure optimum output and lean processes within the manufacturing facility, within a strong established team who operate within a continuous improvement work ethic.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician, activities include a full range of skills from tool-maintenance to repair/replacement of electrical and electronic circuitry and mechanical parts etc.
• Where machine faults occur, identify the root causes deploy corrective action as well as ensuring that preventative and continuous improvement measures, are implemented.
• Identify and implement improvements to be made to existing equipment within the manufacturing facility.
• Participate in the identification, production and implementation of essential documentation needed to ensure consistency of process, products and parts.
• Carry out line change-overs where necessary.
• Working arrangements are currently organised on a Continental Shift Pattern, however, this is subject to change in line with the needs of the business - so the individual will need to be flexible.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience and attributes:
• The candidate will need to have completed at time-served apprenticeship and be qualified to City &Guilds/ONC/HNC level in the usual engineering fields with a minimum of 3-5 years additional practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferably Multi Skilled with an HNC in Mechatronics, but if HNC is Electrical or mechanical Engineering, the candidate must possess additional qualifications in other discipline.
• Fault finding in all engineering systems: Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, pneumatic and metal welding. (Robot programming and fault finding; Mitsubishi)
• Vision Systems: Keyence and Cognex
• Machining skills and or Electrode welding technology
• Kanban systems
• Critical spare systems
