Site Manager
The Role:
This position is new to the company it will enable our ambitious and sustainable expansion plans in commercial construction and new build housing development. This position will see the successful candidate work alongside the company Director to manage the company’s projects, using their own initiative to run ongoing sites successfully in terms of health and safety, site/supplier communication, office liaison, customer service, project programming and any other operations in relation to a Site Management role. A minimum of 3 years on site management experience is essential, as the role initially will be to manage one of the company’s contracts due to start in the next few months.
The Company
We undertake new build, extension, refurbishment and maintenance across a wide range of commercial sectors, with a sister company providing speculative development of new homes. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to experience all these areas of the business operations.

About You
You will be expected to supervise all aspects of construction work and organising the day to day tasks of the site team as required. You will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in full time site management in either commercial or residential new build, delivering from pre-commencement through to completion and maintenance. A flexible and determined approach, along with exceptional organisational skills and professional manor will be at the forefront to enable the projects to be completed effectively. A keen eye for quality of finish and outstanding customer relations will be required at all times, along with:
• Running an efficient construction site on a day to day basis; making decisions where necessary.
• Motivate and inspire employees, contractors and suppliers throughout a project
• Have first-rate communication skills and a flexible approach
• Monitoring of site materials and waste management
• Organisation is essential, ensuring company policies are adhered to.
• Have a flexible approach and practically participate on site, when required
• Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Aspiration in taking on responsibilities as the company grows.
• Computer literate, including a good level of experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are essential. Other programmes such as project management software would be an advantage but not essential.
